Not only will you be shopping local and supporting small businesses, but you’ll also be enjoying the freshest fruit, veg and produce from the Scenic Rim! Perfect for boosting your immune system this Autumn.
Tommerup’s Dairy Farm is not only famous for their delicious artisan dairy products but their free-range, gourmet meats. After having to put a hold on their farm tours and popular market days, Tommerup’s Dairy Farm is still offering their local goodies to the public directly from their larder. You can pre-order via their new online store, choose a time to collect from their Kerry Valley property, then enjoy an ice cream in the picnic paddock (with plenty of room for social distancing) before you head back home. With pre-arranged collection times, they’ll make sure you’re the only ones there – no need for squabbling in the supermarket aisle!
Their one-stop-shop will also stock Summer Land Camel’s famous Persian Feta, Towri Sheep Cheese’s ‘eweghurt’ and locally made soaps from Coco and Myrtle. Bookings are essential.
Running Creek Beef offers free-roaming, grass-fed beef raised on the mountain pastures of Running Creek in the Scenic Rim. Deb and Rod love to connect with their customers and provide produce from their farm to your table. They even do monthly deliveries across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, as well as stock their meat at The Big Pumpkin in Beaudesert. Hurry while stocks last.
The Big Pumpkin has a huge range of fresh fruit and vegetable, much of it sourced locally. Not only do they often stock Tommerup’s Dairy Farm salted cultured butter and ice creams, Running Creek’s grass-fed beef and Towri Sheep Cheeses award-winning cheeses, they have a variety of delicious produce. If you’d prefer to shop for your produce from the comfort of your home you can order and pay online for next day pick-up. They are also offering a delivery service for those in the Scenic Rim.
Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm are now offering takeaway. Their new @home menu includes a selection of their delicious dishes… think slow-cooked pork belly, braised beef cheeks and more. Set the table, light the candles and be prepared to enjoy the finer things in life, while you’re at home. Don’t forget to add wine, beer or ciders to your order. You can order and collect from your car, with their new drive-through service making social distancing even easier. Timings and menus may vary so be sure to call and check first.
The Bearded Dragon at Mt Tamborine are still serving their pub meals with their friendly country hospitality but it’s now only for takeaway. From pizzas and parmys to their drive-through bottle shop, you’ll find everything you need for a meal at home. Keep an eye out for their online shop soon to stock homemade pesto, chutney and jams.
Towri Sheep Cheeses are answering our isolation prayers with their isolation cheese packs. The $20 packs include a range of cheese samples, Towri’s chutney and Mason Wine’s homemade lavash. They are also offering their full range to add on to your order. You can pre-order and collect directly from their farm or they’re delivering to select locations in the Scenic Rim.
Fancy a tipple to go with all this delicious food? You can collect a range of local wines from across the Scenic Rim or order them online. Try Canungra Valley Vineyard, Cedar Creek Estate, Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard and Sarabah Estate Vineyard.
Scenic Rim Brewery now has an online store! You can order your favourite brews via their website and they’ll deliver Queensland wide. Those who live nearby can organise to click and collect from their store on a Saturday between 10am-2pm. Nothing tastes sweeter than supporting a local family business.
