Fancy a walk? The Scenic Rim comes to life on the walking trails underneath the tree lined canopies and from high above, looking down on to the valleys and fields below. It’s home to six national parks, offering hikes and walking trails for all levels.

If you love heights, the O’Reilly’s Tree Top Walk takes you up 16 metres above ground along nine suspension bridges so you can tip toe above the forest floor. Another Lamington Park favourite is the walk around Moran’s Falls, with a lookout famous for its stunning view over the volcanic gorge and out to the Main Range. If you’re a seasoned mountain climber then dedicate a day to tackling Mount Barney, but be warned – this climb is not for the faint hearted!

No matter the time of year, the Scenic Rim is a bushwalker’s paradise. Each season brings its own stunning colours and magical sunsets, a range of wildlife and colourful flora and fauna.
