So, empty that esky and call the crew – here’s all you need to know!

Mark the diary for Sunday 28 July, when farmers, growers, producers, winemakers, brewers, distillers and flavour-makers across the region open their gates to celebrate where food comes from.

From cuddles with lambs at Towri Sheep Cheeses, playing with Kiddies at Naughty Little Kids to fresh produce straight from the paddocks of local farms, picnic selfies with alpacas, stocking up on artisan dairy products to beer and ice cream tasting at Scenic Rim Brewery, flower walks at Elderflower Farm, wandering the vines at the region’s vineyards, buying just-picked garlic, visitors leave with full
stomachs and a love for the Scenic Rim region, its produce and its people.
There’s 23 FARM GATES OPEN on 28 July, just over an hour from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast – it’s the
perfect day trip, or weekend away!

Pop into Peak Organics (number 2 on the map) where the large green space is ideal for a
picnic and a rest. Teas and hot water will be available throughout the day – as well as items
to buy from Peak Organics including organic teas, jams and seeds. Some fresh produce can
be picked if you see something growing that you would like to nibble on later.
Peak Organics is operated solely by volunteers and is fully certified with Australian Demeter
Biodynamic. Biodynamics combines the practices of organic farming with a strong focus on
soil vitality through a holistic approach.

Ellia’s Garden is a market garden set in the beautiful Scenic Rim, at the base of the Great Dividing Range with access to mountain top views straight out to Cunninghams Gap, Mount Castle and Mount Fraser to name a few. Naughty Little Kids

Naughty Little Kids goat dairy make cheese and gelati using the milk from their herd of goats. All products are gluten, egg, nut, soy, coconut, & gelatine free. Bring and esky and ice brick. Attention seeking goats will be looking for pats and you can purchase a bottle to feed them.

 Olive View Estate Scenic Rim (dog friendly)

Olive View Estate is a beautiful 700 tree olive farm close to Boonah & Kalbar. The perfect place for the whole family to have a picnic and enjoy live music on stage, breaky and lunch from the food trucks, coffee, refreshing old fashioned sodas and kombucha and to shop our olive products in the 1950s vintage restored bus “Myrtle” stocked to the brim full of delicious farm made goodies, relishes, dehydrated citrus, honey & seasonings.
