With so many stops on the Farm Gate Trail, we don’t expect you to get to all of them in one day so we’ve organised some itineraries to help you get to some of your favourites while enjoying a day in the Scenic Rim. Follow our suggestions below or choose your own adventure from our Farm Gate Trail Map.
Itinerary A – Harrisville, Mount Alford & Running Creek
This is a jam packed itinerary! If you’re coming from Brisbane, start your morning at Coco & Myrtle purchasing natural soaps made with produce from the region before heading to Valley Pride Produce to pick your own veg, then Scenic Rim Brewery for a local brew and some Dutch delicacies, a tasting at Barney Creek Vineyard and then hit the road (with your designated driver) for the Farm Gate at Running Creek Beef.

Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages

Itinerary B – Kalbar, Boonah & Oaky Creek
Enjoy the Scenic Rim Farm Shop where you’ll get to purchase a range of delicious local produce and enjoy fields of flowers before heading to Olive View Estate to see a working olive farm and then stop in at Oaky Creek Farm & Harvest Cafe to take in the stunning views of Innisplain while enjoying a bit of afternoon tea.
Scenic Rim Farm Shop & Elderflower Farm (dog friendly)
Shop for a range of locally grown produce at the home of the Scenic Rim Farm Box and meet the farmers. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings, café, Elderflower Farm and hold baby chickens while you’re there. 541 Kents Lagoon Road, Kalbar. 0429 452 637
Olive View Estate Scenic Rim (dog friendly)

Oaky Creek Farm and Harvest Cafe (dog friendly)

Head off on a family road trip and visit the animals of the Scenic Rim! If you’re coming from Brisbane, Start at Summer Land Camels to meet local camels and experience the camel farm, before heading to Towri Sheep Cheeses to meet the cutest lambs and grab a coffee and then go to Ladybrook Farm to enjoy an afternoon on the farm.

Looking to master the perfect cheese board, with local wine? These stops are for you! Stop by The Overflow Estate 1895 to find the right wine to go with your delicious cheese, then head to Towri Sheep Cheeses for all your ewenique sheep cheese essentials. Before heading home to enjoy these goodies visit Bee All Natural Honey for a range of beeswax produce and fresh honey, the perfect accompaniment to your cheeseboard.

Itinerary G. Christmas Creek, Kerry, Darlington & Running Creek
If you’re a self-proclaimed foodie, Itinerary G is for you. Not only will you find local produce from Oaky Creek Farm and White’s Farm, you’ll then be able finish off the day at Ladybrook Farm where you’ll be able to purchase beef direct from the farmers.

Itinerary H. Canungra & Sarabah
Start the day learning not only how finger limes are grown, but also how beneficial they are nutritionally! Then head to Sarabah Estate Vineyard to explore the grounds and grab a bite to eat and taste some local drops before heading over to O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard for a picnic with a glass of wine (if you’re still hungry!), before stopping by Pretty Produce for some edible flowers to take home.
There will be several varieties of freshly picked finger limes available, along with their popular marmalades and preserves. You will be able to purchase skin care products including hydrating face serum, skin cream and soap all made using organic fruit grown on the farm. Sarabah Estate Vineyard (dog friendly)

Visit the nationally award-winning edible flower farm. You are most welcome to bring your own picnic hamper and sit by the Canungra creek. Itinerary I. Tamborine Mountain
Fill your Empty Esky and go for a scenic road trip to Tamborine Mountain! Start off by filling your belly at Picnic Real Food Bar before driving around Tamborine Mountain to visit some of the Farm Gate Trail stops listed below. You will definitely need a designated driver for this itinerary, or you might want to stay the night!
