With what is set out to be a great day in the Scenic Rim, we don’t expect you to make it to each and every one of our stops on the Farm Gate Trail. We’ve organised the following itineraries to keep your time in the car at a low, while making sure you still get to experience all aspects of the region and visit your favourites. Follow our suggestions below or choose your own adventure from our Farm Gate Trail Map.
Itinerary A – Harrisville & Charlwood
This is a jam-packed itinerary! If you’re coming from Brisbane, start your morning at Summer Land Camels to meet and feed the camels, before heading to Scenic Rim Mushrooms, drop into Coco & Myrtle for locally made soap. Enjoy a local produce insured lunch at the Royal Hotel Harrisville before finishing the day at Valley Pride Produce to pick your own vegetables.

Itinerary B – Peak Crossing Kalbar and Boonah
Make your first stop at Peak Organics #1 on the map, Ivory’s Rock- Peak Crossing for organically grown Fruit and Vegetables.
After leaving Peak Organics, stop in at the quirky Peak Australiana at 41 Peak Crossing Churchbank Weir Road Peak Crossing, Peak Crossing, for all things antique and sample some Aussie Tucker.
Continue your journey to the Scenic Rim Farm Shop where you’ll get to purchase a range of delicious local produce and enjoy fields of flowers before heading to Olive View Estate to see a working olive farm and then stop in at Oaky Creek Farm & Harvest Cafe to take in the stunning views of Innisplain while enjoying a bit of afternoon tea.
Scenic Rim Farm Shop & Elderflower Farm (dog friendly)
Shop for a range of locally grown produce at the home of the Scenic Rim Farm Box and meet the farmers. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings, café, Elderflower Farm and hold baby chickens while you’re there. 541 Kents Lagoon Road, Kalbar. 0429 452 637
Olive View Estate Scenic Rim (dog friendly)
Take a look around a working olive farm and purchase olives, olive oil, dehydrated cocktail citrus and more straight from the farm! While you visit, indulge in an old-fashioned soda or visit one of the food trucks. 58 Kulgun Rd, Boonah. 0448 168 817
Stop for a bite to eat at the Roadvale Hotel at Roadvale or The Vue or The Bowl in Boonah
Itinerary C – Rathdowney & Oaky Creek
Head south for a leisurely drive from either Boonah or Beaudesert to the world heritage, picturesque Mt Barney National Park and surrounds. (allow at least a one and half hours travel time from Brisbane).
Oaky Creek Farm and Harvest Cafe (dog friendly)

The Shed Cafe is a family owned business located in the foothills of Mount Barney. Famous for their slow cooked beef and mushroom pie. Follow the driveway, The Shed Cafe is on the top of the hill where there are olive trees. Itinerary D – Kalbar, Charlwood & Mount Alford
Experience a little piece of everything the Scenic Rim has to offer with Itinerary C! Meet the local farmers and shop for local produce at Scenic Rim Farm Shop before heading to Valley Pride Produce to visit the fifth generation farm, and then hit the road for a local brew at Scenic Rim Brewery.

Itinerary E – Allenview & Kerry
Head off on a family road trip and visit the animals of the Scenic Rim! If you’re coming from Brisbane, head out towards Beaudesert. First stop just outside Beaudesert is stop #16 Bee All Natural Honey. Stop for a quick coffee at Tea Spoons and Aprons before heading to Towri Sheep Cheeses to meet the cutest lambs and shop for cheese, before hitting the road for Tommerup’s Dairy Farm where you’ll be able to see pigs and cows on a true working farm and grab delicious dairy goods straight from the larder. Further along Kerry Road is Ladybrook Farm with loads of fun entertainment for the kids both big and small!

Itinerary F – Wyaralong, Allenview & Jimboomba
Looking to master the perfect cheese board, with local wine? These stops are for you! Stop by The Overflow Estate 1895 to find the right wine to go with your delicious cheese, then head to Towri Sheep Cheeses for all your ewenique sheep cheese essentials. Before heading home to enjoy these goodies visit Bee All Natural Honey for a range of beeswax produce and fresh honey, the perfect accompaniment to your cheeseboard.

Itinerary G – Christmas Creek, Kerry & Darlington
If you’re a self-proclaimed foodie, Itinerary G is for you. Kerry Valley and Darlington are home to some of the finest farms in the region. First stop Tommerup’s Dairy Farm where you can purchase direct from the larder and sample their home made ice cream. Just next door is White’s Farm where you’ll find the perfect avocado. Continue onto Ladybrook Farm to see a working farm filled with animals and entertainment . They have lots of animals to see on the farm, including brand new triplet lambs. Purchase the ultimate fresh beef or lamb pack. Finish the day with a coffee and fresh produce at Oaky Creek Farm and Harvest Café.

Itinerary H – Canungra & Sarabah
Start the day learning not only how finger limes are grown, but also how beneficial they are nutritionally! Then head to Sarabah Estate Vineyard to explore the grounds and grab a bite to eat and taste some local drops before heading over to O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard for a picnic with a glass of wine (if you’re still hungry!) and grab a selfie with an Alpaca at Mountview Alpacas.
Shop the popular marmalades and preserves or purchase skin care products including hydrating face serum, skin cream and soap all made using organic fruit grown on the farm. Fill your Empty Esky and go for a scenic road trip to Tamborine Mountain! Visit some of the Farm Gate Trail stops listed below. You will definitely need a designated driver for this itinerary, or you might want to stay the night! We’ve also suggested some places to stop for a bite while you’re here.
